Revenue Share
Every dollar we collect from streaming and sales is split clearly. No opaque deductions.
All splits are calculated on gross revenue received by Red Room Recordings. We do not deduct distribution fees, platform commissions, or internal processing costs before calculating your share.
Royalties
Publishing and mechanical royalties flow back to you, not to us.
Rights & Ownership
Your music. Your rights. We make this explicit.
What Artists Get
We provide these as standard. Not conditional on exclusivity or minimum sales thresholds.
Studio Access
Access to our Melbourne-based production facility for recordings and mixing sessions. Priority scheduling for signed artists. Hourly rates and block booking available — ask for the current schedule.
Physical Production
Vinyl and CD pressing available at cost for releases that meet minimum order thresholds (500 units vinyl, 300 units CD). We handle manufacturing coordination — no separate label cut.
Editorial Playlist Placement
Pitching to Spotify's official editorial playlists (Night Rider, Dark Electronic, Late Night Vibes, and related) for every release. Placement is not guaranteed — no playlist is — but every release gets a pitch. We maintain direct relationships with Spotify's ANZ editorial team.
Marketing Support
Dedicated release campaigns: social content creation (static + short-form video), press outreach to electronic and music media, prerelease build strategy, and 30-day post-release performance review. We do not charge for marketing services — costs are absorbed into our 30% share.
Video Production
One lyric video or visualizer per single release at no additional cost. Full music video production available for album releases — scope and budget discussed per project. All video assets are delivered to the artist in full resolution after use.
Sync & Licensing Pipeline
Active sync licensing representation. We pitch tracks for film, TV, advertising, and game use. Revenue from sync deals splits 70/30 as with streaming. We maintain relationships with several music supervisors in the AU, UK, and US markets.
Submission Process
If this sounds like the right fit, submit through our portal. We listen to everything.
Submit Your Demo
Use our submission form at /submit. Include 2–3 tracks, your genre/subgenre, streaming links if you have them, and a brief note about your project. No minimum track count required. We listen to every submission regardless of follower count.
Review Period
We aim to respond within 10 business days. If we're interested, we'll reach out to schedule a call. If not, you'll receive a short reply — no ghosting.
Terms & Onboarding
If we move forward, we send a written agreement covering exactly what we've agreed on — release scope, splits, timeline. Read it, ask questions, then sign. We don't rush this step.
Release
Once terms are signed, we set a release date, begin distribution setup, pitch editorial playlists, and coordinate marketing. Most releases go from signed to live within 8–12 weeks.
Questions?
If something isn't clear, or if you want to talk before submitting — reach out directly. We're happy to discuss terms before you commit to anything.
We respond within 48 hours on business days.
